| peg lowering
well ive posted on this subject before but never really get a straight answer, im putting a peg lowering kit on my bike, my knee doesnt bend as far as it used to so i need more room, im already raising my seat an inch and a half to help this, but i need more. the kit comes in 23, 30, or 50 mm lower. the company recomends the 23 or 30mm but the 50mm would give me the most room, but i worry about shifting problems and catching a peg on the ground and low siding. any advice? heres a pic of the kit. -thanks

30mm is just over an inch, with the seat raised thats 2.5 inches, quite a change. I would probably try that first, you could always go for the 50 later if its not enough.

Size 14, no wonder you are cramped. Nothing wakes me up like turning tight and not paying attention where my foot is and dragging it. Justin has great advice see if 2" makes enough a difference. Otherwise you will end up with proverbial chicken strips. |

As far as low siding goes, virtually every bike I have taken to the track (except my ZX10) has scraped pegs. In your case, you might have to back off a little in some corners (but, that is better than not being able to ride). Also, lift your downside foot off the peg so that it can easily fold and there won't be any problems. Also, no cross thread whining..... | |

I tried a set of those on my 07 600RR They didn't work for me. I sent em back. The seat on a 919 is very low to start with, I think I'd work on the seat.
