Will my plan ever happen?

Posted 11-04-2009 at 10:29 PM by beefsalad

It should come to fruition tomorrow! I'm heading out to Motovation, USA to pick up some sliders and meet some of the staff here. Going to pitch some product ideas to them as well while I'm at it. Yeah, if they buy it I'll be sure we get a discount

I came, I saw, I almost got caught by a DPS officer!

Made it to A-town finally and picked up the sliders. Did my best to behave all the way there and back. At one point, I was leaving a 6-8 car length gap between the driver in front of me and myself. Next thing I know I check my mirror and there's a black and white behind me. I glance down and I've got'er wrapped up to 90. !@$%!!! I ease off and slide over out of the fast lane. He passed without incident.

I must say, the 70mi or so to Austin takes just as much out of you as the 80 miles to Leakey (which is a HELL of a lot more fun)

I should be sleeping right now, but I of course had to get the sliders mounted ASAP. Now is pretty much the only chance I was guaranteed to have between now, and the 'advanced riders course' at 8am tomorrow.

If you've followed my little saga, I'm pretty sure I've mentioned that the ARC is part of my punishment for 90 in a 65, headed towards Leakey lol. I suspect it will be as fun as riding in a parking lot can be.

Hopefully oldguard60 will come visit soon, or I can drag my butt up that direction. It sounds like he may have found some fun roads already.
