The wobbles, now the squeeks?

So I was riding home yesterday "night" (actually morning for the rest of the world) and once again the squeek appeared that I believe I mentioned in my wobbles post. It definately is coming from the front. I'm starting to wonder if I am doing something wrong when installing the axle. I followed TFM and the post here in the helpful topics post. I just re-read TFM, I didn't miss anything there. I'll get it up on the stands later today and rip the tire off...again. Anyone near San Antonio have the tools required for bearing replacement?

Oh, and while I do appreciate people dropping advice here, I mainly do this to 'blog' about my experiences. Other uses (for me) are to track what I did and when I did it.

Since I'm at it, I replaced the tires and changed the front sprocket to a 17t at 7971mi.

Chain slack is way out of whack again, didn't have time to check much else unfortunately. Now my friday and possibly my saturday is going to be wasted moving dirt to level the back yard :/

After pulling the front wheel off, relubing the axle, etc... I gave the brakes a quick peak (left them together, but checked out the pads) It looks like I may have chipped one of the pads. I'm starting to think that the chip got lodged in the assembly somewhere and was the source. I haven't had time to go back over the front end to double-check torque (I was tired when doing the work) so I haven't had a chance to test.

What does a cow pissing on a flat rock have to do with this? :P

Hmmm, I'm starting to wonder if my girlfriend isn't sneaking my motorcycle out. I just got the mileage off of the odo to compare to my previous post. 138mi? I swear I only took one trip to work last week some time (when I discovered the squeek) and the trip today to see if I could reproduce it. I was gone less than an hour and a half today. Usual trip to the office and back is ~20m... I was in the city so there is no way I put on 100m. Maybe I've ridden some and forgotten about it? Somethings not right here.

I've put a few more miles on it, and all is good in the neighborhood, though it does appear that my bars are bent Not sure how I didn't notice before.
