BACK PROTECTORS / SAFETY GEAR

We recently tested back protectors and some other safety gear that we are planning to add to the line up soon.

We have some overage from the prototypes and they are available if you are interested. The back protectors are $40 + Shipping & Packaging. The Safety Jackets are $60 + S&P, and the Safety Pants are $40 + S&P.

All the Items are Size Large and XL. There really is not much different between those sizes in Back Protectors.

Yes you can, but I would recommend at least a tee shirt underneath.

The Large would work for you. To be honest, the difference is minimal. If you want it, it's your's for $70 shipped. Cuz it's you. It will come USPS Priority Mail.

I'm interested in a safety jacket.

At 6' 2", 225lbs... Would I be a L or XL?

Does the 5th image show both the back protector and safety jacket - or does the safety jacket have back protection built-in?

The Jacket has the protector built into it. There is very little difference between the sizes. Either will work for you

These pants do not compare to the Bohn. The Bohn pants have much more padding all around. They are a tad bulky though. I had a pair of them a while back.

I would go with a medium to ensure proper coverage.

Both Safety Jackets are sold I'm afraid. Seems there was quite a bit of interest in these items. If you are interested, let me know and I will see if I am able to get some more of each item at the same price.

Nah, I'm good for gear thanks.

Though I am thinking about that back protector as an upgrade to protect the tail bone better...hmmm.

Cool, I love new stuff! Tried some of the Bohn pants, way too bulky for me, plus the knee armor didn't want to stay in the right place and I couldn't imagine riding with the tailbone armor installed.

hey mike ... i am sorry i forgot to report....

the jackets are awesome... if you live in a warm climate they are the shiznit...

my only "issue" is the forearms are a touch tight around my arms but thats genetics not anything your fault...

the jacket fits great... the back/spine protector is A1 quality and protects me from helmet to base of spine... i am convinced that if i went down this product would protect me as good as anything i could purchase...

i went to cycle gear and looked at comparable jackets and they were more than double the price...

thank you for selling me this ... i sing its praises...

You may want to take a look at the safety pants we carry Scott. One thing I will say in defense of the bohn pants is actually the tail bone armour. I know it is unbelievable un-comfortable, but it works. We are trying to see what we can do about that area around the Coxyc / tail bone.

Thanks for the feedback, I was looking for that. We have to make a decision on which ones we will move forward with and that jacket was top on the list. Now... you are going to probably hate me for this, but we just got the prototype for a new Safety Jacket that is actually perforated! It comes with a slightly different back protector and will probably run about $20+ more than the current jacket.

grrr... can i trade this one back in for that one??? lol

also... the chest pieces (the plastic part) should be moulded more for someone with a muscular chest.. these are a bit concave... other than that i love it....

Here is a neat trick you can do, apply boiling water to the plastic to soften it and then wear it so it molds a bit more to your chest or just push them out a bit while soft.

NEW STUFF

We were still testing back protectors and some other safety gear that we are planning to add to the line up soon.

Here is the latest batch. The back protectors are $40 + Shipping & Packaging. The Safety Jackets are $60 + S&P, and the Safety Pants are $40 + S&P. The new Safety Jacket is perforated with a newer Back Protector attached and that is available for $75 + S&P.

All the Items are Size Large and XL. There really is not much different between those sizes in Back Protectors.

Let me know if you are interested.

Pics of available items. NO! The girl is not available - just a teaser... LOL!!:

What's the total for the jacket, with S&P, to Houston, Tx 77055? Also, what is the actual chest size range for your size large? I'm a 42/52.

So the Large is cut a bit "large"? Seems that if it fits Brian it would be too big for me and Rob? Not poking fun at Barton for once, actually interested in buying one but concerned about sizing, I wear a 42 chest as well.

Scott - From what Brian said, it is pretty snug on him. They size these things in a "range" and that is why they have adjusters on them to either tighten them up or loosen them a bit depending on where you fall in the range. The "Large" tends to be the most universal size for most people.

If you do this, we can split the tab for shipping.
