| Bitten | FS: 2002 SV650 ![]() $3500 - Reduced to $3K The only defect in the bike is a dent in the tank from a bike stand being dropped on the bike. It is a good runner and fun. I can take more pics if anyone is truly interested in the bike. It has roughly 12000 miles on it. Last edited by bloaker; 09-28-2009 at 07:43 PM. |

The 3rd Gen Ricor IAS just had it's race debut this weekend at Infineon Raceway on a production class SV650. The race bike has been running the Intiminators for the entire season, hence the #1 points lead. During practice, the team performed a 'Penskectomy' and the Ricor IAS was installed. The SV650 won first place by over 23 seconds. IMO, it's like bringing a gun to a knife fight. The rider commented the bike didn't jump out over the bumps like with the Penske. This is the same suspension people I've been trying to get the 919 forum members interested in...but, I only have one person expressing interest. Too bad, the 919 could be improved so much with this technology.

It happens. The timing is bad for me as well. It is a fun bike and I know its entire life (which can be very reassuring) from purchase to today. Funny thing is when i am in the market..... I will be looking at stuff near the same price that has either been wrecked or ragged out.

I'm in the need for something different....kind of bored with the 919 and the Triumph isn't running...the SV would have probably fit the bill.

Deeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn! And I'm on the left coast, broke with two bikes in the car hole already. If you were here I'd be asking for trade considerations and cash if I could find some dough and you'd take a gun or two. |

not too much to ask at all. May not be able to get quality ones till Monday. I will be out of town till then. I can take some quick ones with my phone when I get home today. If you are gonna fly in and ride it home, you can fly into ORF or PHF and I will pick you up. zip code 23464 |

If you look between the 'U' and 'Z' you will see the dent in the tank. The 6/09 sticker is a virginia inspection sticker. I will get it updated if there is a VA buyer. Last edited by bloaker; 02-19-2010 at 01:18 PM. |

It's quite possibly the best looking bike I've ever seen.

I imagine with lots of suspension work they could be close with the SV abit better in the corners but exiting/between corners the SV just lacks power.
