| Bitten | 2010 Triumph 675
Why or Why do I tease myself? Today I was meeting my father at the triumph dealer and then lunch. While there, the owner tossed me the keys to a 2010 675. I rode the SV650 there, so I have some back to back comparisons. Ergos... The triumph was NOT made for comfort. The bike is similar in ergos to my RC. The SV is almost a cruiser next to this. Handling... With in the first 1/2mile, I was completely at home on this bike. I was doing stuff a bike with 58 miles on it probably should not do. The owner set it up to his weight, so it was a little soft for me, but very solid in the corners. Power... The 675 is always impressive. This year, a little more power, a little less weight. The bike power wheelies in a very controllable manner. Brakes... One finger on the front, never touched the rear. Grin Factor... It actually makes me consider a sport bike again. I know it won't happen (because in the end, I like covering more distance that I can handle happily on a sport bike). --- Just a great sport bike! |

I like it! It would look GREAT with race bodywork on it with the blue frame and wheels, I think.

Meh...Looks like just another sportbike...Why is it that they all are just looking like each other these days...At a glance, you'd think you just saw another 1000rr or an R1 ![]() Bet it sounds and rides sweet though |

It rides sick! I was comfy on it with in a minute. The power delivery was very very smooth. While I am partial to white bikes, I think I like this better.... ![]() But since I have no $$$.... I have more than plenty time to decide. I think buying this over the bonneville would be a mistake for me. Taking it out for a test ride was stupid!!! |

But then again, the cruisers are too... and the half faired... and the naked... Anytime someone comes up with something new, the public looks the other way. Hence why Europe has bikes we don't! Sales!

I wanna come!!! The KTM dealership near my house is terrible... it has a great shop, good selection, lots of in stock parts but their service and sales department is TERRIBLE. It makes me thankful for my jap bike.

| Bitten | I think that is good.... but I have something hanging out there. This weekend help a friend move. Next weekend I will be in Goochland, VA. Then the following weekend is the one you are talking about?.... I may be in OBX, but unsure... Let me check with youknowwho and see if that is a good weekend to play. |

I gotta tell ya, man, the new 2010 SE is beautiful in person. They did a great job on the bike. But...I gotta have real handlebars and all that plastic is just so unnecessary. I work at a Triumph shop and have compared the street trip and daytona side by side. It would be very easy to turn the daytona into a naked bike. Frames are the same. headlight/instrument cluster mount from the street will fit the daytona, top clamp will fit(from the R model). I could probably sell the plastic for what it would cost for the conversion. The problem is what to call it. Would it be the "Daytona Triple" or the "Street Daytona" or "Street 675" or.....? What to do? |
