I had sent Michael a PM, but didn't have it on the thread..... I am a 45 Euro, 10.5 UK, 11 US, 28 JAP according to my Sidi boots tag. Probably a Type II, possibly a III. White/Black to match my White/Black leathers. |

MisterMike...How bout change my size to 46...I'd rather have boots that may be a little on the big side instead of the small side since the Euro size for 11US is 46...Thanks. I'd hate to have to go through the hassle of sending them back if they were too tight...What do you think WIM since your dealing with these boots??? |

On the sizing, I would say go with the 46. Going up a 1/2 size would not be detrimental to fitting and it would be the safe way to order it. Better to have a little room than it be too tight. By the way, who is this WIM of which you speak ?!?! LOL!!!! | |

big list doesn't have my size, 47. I had typed Wim in one of my earlier posts but realized it before I hit the submit button and changed it to that new name...it will take a while to get used to it but we'll try. |

| Possibly Useful Information
Zookmor asked some really good questions and I thought the questions and answers might be useful, so I am posting them: QUESTION:I have been keeping an eye on this GB thread for the boots, and definitely find myself interested. Is the estimated price still expected to be around $100? Also which boots would be best for street riding. Do you know yet on comfort etc? Right now I am wearing some Icon Super Duty boots that are size 11, but just a tad big so I think a 10.5 would be better which is a 45 I believe. The only thing is I was wandering about comfort for street riding. I like the Type 2 and 4 in looks, but if you say function and fit will be better with a different pair I am willing to switch my choice. Looking for all black, but would be alright with silver and black. ANSWER: As far as comfort goes, that is almost a relative term with riding boots. Sadly, the tendency is that the more comfortable the boot, the less protection it offers. The idea behind a boot is to restrict the lateral and some vertical movement of your leg, ankle and foot bones. So, it should limit the torque or twistability of your Tibia and Fibula, and almost absolutely limit the lateral movement of your ankle joint where the Tibia, Fibula and Talus bones all meet. If you take SIDI for example, to make a race boot "comfortable", they had to add a boat load of features to a very sound design. In my humble opinion - the more you try to accomodate simple comforts - the more you leave the boots open to catastrophic failure points. It is similar to suits, the more seams you have the less protection you get even though suit looks great and exciting aesthetically and it is more comfortable. Don't get me wrong - I think their boots are excellent. But - but to make their top boot (See SIDI Vortice Boots) very comfortable, they had to add so many modular features - straps and adjusters here and there. And.... they had to charge in excess of $400 - MSRP is $475. If your primary riding will be street riding - which to me means stopping here and there and walking around, then get the Type III. It is the least restrictive and has enough protection incorporated. We are still working out the colour combinations, but our plan is to have an all Black boot in all models. We have also decided that for this GB, all the boots will be $100 plus shipping - so you are looking at a total of $120 Shipped, might be $5 less depending. This price of course carries a huge discount on all models, but I think it will allow people to choose the one they like the most without having to take price into consideration - it kind of levels the playing field. Hope this helps - sorry for the long note. |

| Keeping this in mind, I'd like to change my size to a 46 instead of the 45. I had looked at a different chart. Thanks for adding the chart to the 1st post! :-)

Sorry to add confusion to the mix, we have decided we will not be carrying the Type IV Boots. We found what we believe is a better one. We will still call it the Type IV, but it is different. We selected this new one because - 1/ It is newer and aesthetically better. It has better features like vents and the new ankle brace is made of sturdier TPU and thus has improved lateral resistance. Looking at the pictures, you will see the first ones twist a lot more. Sizing remains the same on these boots - 36 to 47 EURO. ![]() ![]() First Boot: ![]() ![]() New Boot: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
