| So, completed a few more mods on the 919... Garage door opener. Soldered in a couple of wires to the remote. Squeezed the remote into the headlight bucket, and ran the wires through the factory wire sheathing going to the right switch. Drilled a hole, installed microswitch. ![]() Buell M2 windscreen. ...almost required isn't it? Ebay - $20.50 prepped, painted, buffed, intalled. ![]() GPS mount. Didn't really do anything but bolt the purchased mount on. ![]() Helmet lock. OK, this one I'm pretty pleased with myself on! If anyone is interested, I can post a walk through (and pics) of how I made it. ![]() |

Love that garage door opener. Way better thand fumbling around my pocket looking for the button. Did you take apart a normal opener and wire into it or did you get something else made for this type of aplication? |

My garage door opener came with two remotes. They were about the size of a car door/alarm remote. I never had a use for remote #2 until now. I popped it open, soldered in two wires across the contact points, snapped it back together with silocone on all the seams. It's running on it's own battery, not the bikes. |

Great mods. That helmet lock is genius. Looks like you can still use as a foot peg. You ought to patent that idea. |

| Thank you. No. That thought didn't even occur to me until I was all finished, stood back to look at it and said to myself: "Huh, I could've made that helmet lock a functional foot peg with a little more work!" Curse of diving in and creating as you go. Ah well. Maybe on version 2.0 |

Really nice work. Looks like you might want to go ahead and flush your brake fluid - in fact, you're probably not alone, supposed to do that every 2 years I believe. There are a lot of "NOS" motorcycles being sold that should of had the brake fluid replaced (flushed) before they left the dealerships...... |

Mine came with the original brackets. It was listed as a '97 M2 Cyclone windscreen. I did elongate the mounting holes on the brackets to shift the screen forward a bit. | |
