First post. How do you all do?

How goes it. Picked up a 919 today first road going bike. (already laid it down to). I'm walking although the knee and ankle hurt a little.

I'll get shot's of it tommorow.

hey, really sorry to hear about your luck, especially when you just got the bike. A few things I got to say first, is you say this is ruor first road bike, I really suggest the MSF course as dirt riding and street riding are two way differnt things, the msf is well worth the 250 bucks. As is the gear, protect yourself.

as for tanks I just got one from this guy Honda CB919 Hornet Gas Tank Body Man Special #160:eBay Motors (item 370152193112 end time Jul-28-09 15:25:33 PDT) the tank was great, you just got to watch for him to post a good one, not sure what all he has left. Turn signals, I recently went with an LED phillips lochead signal from cycle gear, I like em. If you want stockers post a wanted add here, some one should have a spare set laying around that they swapped out. What other parts do you need? let us know there are a lot of 919's here and this is a great family!

I'll kno more in the morning. It's to dark to tell. but the gauges at least popped the mount and the light is broken.

God bless I love the damn thing though. It still rides true thank god.

And I will be fine a couple days but i done think I'll take my morning jog tomorrow. Ankle is starting to feel soar.

Thanks for the support. My wife needs it more than me now. She watched as an astro van nearly struck me then watch me dig into a gravel ditch. she was following in our step side. Damn van was nearly taking up the whole lane and didn't even slow down. the 2 cars behind him promptly stopped though take see if I was Ok.

The guys house I was in front of was a bike owner to and ran out as he saw it. tobad no one got the plate. Probably a good thing cause my wife would hunt him down a waste a lot of good 00 shells on a worthless being. I knew I should have waited and left the bike at my buddies when the sun had started to sink.

Not skilled enough to keep the bike up in gravel in a pinch. I it had been one f the dirt bikes or quads the house would have had a good show but that wasn't the case. I just thank god i'm can still walk and that I made it out of the vans way he was probably alot harder than the gravel and grass.

I got a tank from this guy for my brother's bike and it turned out to be in decent shape. Not perfect by any means but would recommend using him for the price. Or, I got one even cheaper in perfect shape on ebay for my bike by waiting a little longer.

Ice the ankle. You will hear a lot about safety as well as tech tips about your Niner on this site. Stick around and you'll enjoy the bike even more... welcome and I hope both you and the bike heal well.

i'll probably sit and wait on ebay. for the tank. I want a perfect one. If august rolls in and the bike i still havn't picked one up I'll buy a new one. I'm sure i can find the light and the gages around here. the tail end plasitc has some scratches.

My buddy can fix that if i get him the paint. Any one know were to get it at a decent price i bet it ain't cheap. that sure is a pretty red. one of the few i like.

again thanks for the support. guys. Hopwe i can contribute to the forum like I do 450r.org.

If any one is wondering I own 3 quadss and r5ecently traded a fire breathing crf 450r for the 3rd quad.

the list goes 05 trx 450r wel it was a 450 now 530 and soon to be on the gas.

04 trx 450r again was 450 but win the crank gets back it will be a 533.

02 bombardier DS650 custom pained chevy hugger orange and just a slip on and ignition. oh and shocks that would make a Cadillac blush.

If you want to kow more about them ask. They are my true babies. Don;t get me wrong I love the 919 but i was born dirt and damn well enjoy it.

Had to get rid of the crf though that damn thing was gonna kill me. Ever stradle a dirt bike runnin around 15:1 and with a good meaty cam and you know exactly what i mean. was gonna use the cash for a 919 then found a ds650 that just melted me. the only non honda in my power sports collection.

wanna hear a goofy storie ask about the 350cc honda power washer go cart.

oh the ankle is iced the hard part is the side of my left knee that is about the size of 2 soft balls.

actually after walking up and down the stairs a few times to do some laundry it all feels a lot better. Maybe i will walk tommorow instead of jog. the dog an sniff stuff then.

add to the bikes damages a broke bar end on the left side.

well I said it earlier the wife needs more comforting that me right now. and since the rush is wearing of and i think i might be able to sleep. I'm gonna go do the hurt husband thing and comfort his distraught wife.

worst thing is before this she wanted to find an 04 uranium 919. now she's a litle scarred to ride a bike after seeing what ne careless person can do. She'll come back around this is the women that bought a 450r all by here self and then with out hesitation when it locked up ok'ed building a 533 out of it. although she might go supermoto.

Sorry to hear about the "get off". Welcome. There are a lot of good and knowledgeable people here (and 3 PIAses ). I'm in south county but go riding with friends from Wright City. You'll enjoy the niner up there.

I was quite enjoying it last night O is quite the twister in portions. Most of the roads around here are well maintained and fun to take anything down that can handle well.

I'm healing very quickly The ankle is back to normal. and the knee is a lot better to.

I'll post picks of the scars should have got a pick of the knee the night it happed stick a soft ball on the inside of the Pick I post and that's about what it looked like.

Tank is on the way. I'm gonna surf the net to find a gauge housing and a light assembly.

yeah, you pretty much just need to ride like every car is out there to kill you. Watch every move they make and anticiapate what they will do before they even know what they are doing.

So where'd you find the tank so quickly ?
