I wanna hit the track, I wanna go fast, I wanna brake hard, I wanna drag knee, I wanna pass people in corners. ![]() I'm depressed |

Actually I am thinking about selling the RC51, but I may know someone who would be interested. He gets back from deployment in a couple of weeks. I will ask him then, if you still have them. PM me the details. |

I have big plans for El Bandito this winter. Just got an email from Dale Walker yesterday to let me know his new header is ready! That's definitely at the top of the list since it will complete the replacement of the stock exhaust system and boost the bandit to 135hp with 96ft/lb tq. (stock is 105HP and 85 ft lbs). But here's the entire list. The two saving graces of "offseason" are: 1) you have plenty of time to do a careful, clean, professional mod jobs, and 2) you really appreciate the riding season when it comes back in the spring! Bandit Mod Wish List: 1. Holeshot Header 2. Nautilus Compact Air Horn 3. Brake Pads 4. Holeshot Riser Kit 5. Scottoiler 6. Superbike Gel Pro Grips 7. Digital Gear Indicator with Adjustable TRE 8. Pyramid Front Fender Extender 9. CRG or Pazzo Adjustable Levers Completed Mods: 1. Holeshot TFI Tuning Box, O2 Bypass & K&N Filter 2. Holeshot Nerf Bars 3. Holeshot Mirror Extensions 4. Cox Radiator Guard 5. Holeshot Comp 2 Slip-On 6. Rear Hugger 7. Saddleman Touring Seat 8. Givi Touring Screen 9. Garmin 2720 GPS with RAM mount 10. Blueant intercom system |

Thanks guys. Modding sometimes does make the desire to ride a little more bareable, but I think once you're done putting them together it makes it worse. So I'm taking me sweet time with this since we won't be tracking until April from the looks of things.

Hahha, yeah, I'd let you take her for a spin, but my suspension is setup for my featherweight ass, so it'd prolly be extremely wheelie happy.

ok, so the Gilles lever didnt work, as it is exclusively for Brembos MCs on them damn ducs. oh well, so the hunt for a nice folding lever continues, and its looking more and more like i'll go with Brembo. ah so today, i fugged up. i ordered a full exhaust the famous Micron Serpent full system with a TI ultralite can. I CANT WAIT!!! gonna order some block off plates since im gonna have to get all down and dirty with the install, might as well remove the PAIR and Flapper completely... |

Thanks guys. Alpinestars Suit, Puma boots and Active folding brake lever enroute. Along with 2 rears, and 1 front Metzler Racetec tires, takeoffs no doubt. Snik don't buy new tires. ![]() There is a slight delay in the pipeline with the wheels, but no worries, I've got until April 10th so its cool. Tho I can't wait to debut them on the streets, see how big a difference they'll make. I think I'm gonna remove the forks this coming weekend for sure. It'll give me more room to do the exhaust and PAIR removal, as well as tossing the flapper system, and gutting the intake. |

I didnt take the bike completely apart, just the lower, mid and tail plastics. and removed the radiator. So with that, i flushed out my cooling system, and there was still lots of dirt in the coolant from my accident years ago. I drained and flushed twice and now im only running water + water wetter. Burped the system, and it seems to be running cooler already. i couldnt get the muffler bracket that it came with to work, so i reused my old Jardine bracket. the bike still has the plastics removed. so i might go attack it on Wednesday and clean the air filters and remove the PAIR system. might as well, tho i dont know if i'll be able to get to it from the top/inside the frame, because i believe the intake is in the way and the radiator stops the intake from being removed. cool things to note about the Micron system, its all ss except the can, whcih is Ti. but the headers turned red hot while we were heating up the bike to burp the cooling system. Now they have that blueish, color that Ti headers normally have. The headers have the same oval shape like the stock headers, but seemingly bigger. the whole system sits closer, the collector pipe routes around the oil pan and is extremely close to it, the mid pipe is mm's away from the swingarm, but clears it, we'll see if it moved and swings and touches it. It sounds wicked, is ss but waaaay lighter than the stock system. welds are sweet looking. my exhaust port look quite clean for such an old bike and running maps from other bikes, its all white in the old headers and the ports, with only a few spots of black carbon deposits. Unfortunately i forgot my camera at home so i have no pics of any of this. but i will post pics of the system as it sits on the bike soon. I couldnt figure out how to get my brembo lever off, so ive yet to put on my new Active folding lever |
