I got in 202 miles yesterday covering parts of NC as well as my area. Explored some "new to me" roads and it was a blast ![]() Route Click "Include large map" in my link to view the map of my route A few pics... This road was quite fun...lots of twisties and elivation changes and very high speed...Triple digits were easily accessible here and no cars, houses for 90% of this road ... Made for good Hooligan fun ![]() ![]() I used one of the No Trespassing signs to put under my kick stand ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Got spurts of rain on the way home but nothing severe and cut it close on gas I went 150 miles before I found a station and my fuel gauge was flashing and my Reserve Fuel Trip counted to 12 miles...I was sweating it ![]() All in all...A fun safe day |

You can do 40 on Rt56 and you have accomplished something. Sandbanks does not even get fun till about 90.

I rode the whole road. Hit it from the north end first road it all the way to 13 and then road back, took pics and hit it again but a little harder since I was familiar this time. Way cool that it's just Road, Weeds, Sand and like 4 houses I had lots of fun.As far as the FZ ... I considering going Euro with it at some point or I'm gonna put on a different windscreen that flows with the front end more ... I'm undecided. For now I'm content with it. The Pilot Roads felt good out there yesterday. That was the hardest I've pushed em so far. I had the back end attempt to spin a little coming out of one corner twice but nothing drastic. Very fun road

Very true...Sandbank is a very fast road. 2nd time thru I ran at least 70-100 most of the time and bumped it up to 120-130 on a few straights but wasn't trying to kill it. Rt 56 is next on my list. Plan on hitting it in a few weeks. Maybe 2 weekends from now

This weekend I'll be escorting Laurin around for her first solo rides on the Intruder. Your welcome to hang with us but it will be terribly boring. We just got our MSF training completed last weekend with Alex and should be getting the M class added to her license today or tomorrow. Who knows maybe I'll be adding a couple mo peeps to our VB crew.

It has been POURING all day so far here and it doesnt look like its going to stop. I am not going sunday. Even if it stopped raining right now rt56 would still be wet and covered in leaves and debris on sunday, and my tire is shot. Lets make it happen asap though.

Tangier trip is the best of the three. The other two will f'n bore you to death. I have been on every section of those roads... not necessarily back to back, but every section..... Not good. While on the Eastern Shore, you could do a tour of all the little waterfront towns. Cape Charles is pretty... Kiptopeke state park is quiet... etc... |
